It appears that my reticence to comment was well-considered, as the report has been almost universally panned by everyone outside the media echo-bubble. Perhaps this is because the authors of the document seriously recommended that the U.S. "should actively engage...in diplomatic dialogue, without preconditions" a country whose President has repeatedly denied the Holocaust, and who hosts symposia to with the ostensible goal of determining whether the deaths of six million Jews actually took place.
