100 down - This will mark the 100th posting (give or take) to Matters of Manner and Type. To be sure, there are weblogs that publish that amount of posts in a week, and we have no delusion that we can compete with such sites in their preponderance of output or readership. That said, we do recognize that the quantity of either may not establish the quality of analysis on issues of the day. We pride ourselves on being a site that provides "thoughtful conservative commentary" that is informed by the perspective of history. Our commitment to our readers is that we will continue - with all humility and trembling - to press towards the mark of addressing an array of issues in a style and manner that is creatively inspired and factually grounded. Even as we look forward to the next 100 postings, we are awed by the trust that you have placed in this site, and the appreciation that you have expressed for our work.

We thank you in advance for your continued support, and we hope to continue to earn your patronage.

As always, I am,

G

P.S.: As you are so moved, please feel free to drop us a line at the "comments" link of any post. We would love to hear your thoughts about the blog.
