Beyond having to deal with the results of a new Pew Research Center poll, the Obama administration now has to swallow the indignity of having its lowest Presidential Approval Index rating ever (as tracked by Rasmussen Reports.)

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 34% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-two percent (32%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +2, his lowest total to date.

The news from Rasmussen is not much better for Democrats more generally, as the number of Americans who self-reported as Democrats declined from 40.8 percent in February to 38.7 percent in March.
